Hotel barge Luciole

About the barge

Luciole is one of the best known barges on the waterways and is a fine example of a twin decked vessel. She has been significantly updated over the years and now provides a large saloon with bar and dining area, spacious foredeck, accommodation for 14 below with 2 singles and 6 twin cabins.
The Luciole has been completed under the direction of John Liley. The size and shape of the Luciole allow her to explore the upper less travelled sections of the Nivernais and Burgundy canals.

Cruise Highlights

Luciole cruises on the Burgundy Canal or the Nivernais canal depending on the time of year. There is no real fixed timetable, but the captain will propose plenty of activities and excursions depending on the area, the weather, and the desires of the guests on board. There is plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling on these trips.

John Liley's Inland Voyages have been taking guests on their barges for 22 years now and their experience is at your disposal for the weeks cruise.
